Remember Behind the Scenes and Still Cuts

Since it's award season, Remember was preempted, and I wasn't able to see Park Dong-ho's colorful suits and beautiful face. To ease the wait, here's a bunch of behind the scenes and still cuts SBS released.

Remember: Episode 4 [Park Sung-woong]

Lawyer Park starts off high but ends in a very low spot. Though we knew how the trial was going to end, the journey there was interesting and insightful. I feel like we got to know more about Lawyer Park, but he' still hiding some secrets about himself that I'm sure the show will slowly reveal to us in the future. As for now, I'm content watching his manic smile as well as his downtrodden gloom, though I prefer a happy Lawyer Park over a sad one any day of the weak.

Remember: Episode 3 [Park Sung-woong]

Now that Lawyer Park has entered the arena, the fight starts now, and it's a doozy. The direction the current case will take is obvious from a mile away, but Lawyer Park still makes me smile and root for him. While I would appreciate better writing plot wise, I do appreciate the characterization and portrayal of Lawyer Park which means Remember is still a win in my book.

Remember: Episode 2 [Park Sung-woong]

We learn a lot about Lawyer Park this episode. We get a flashback that explains his relationship with Boss Suk and how he became a lawyer. We also see different sides to Lawyer Park besides the goofball attitude and smiles he always plasters on. While I do think Lawyer Park is a happy person genuinely, he also harbors a lot of pain which he tries to hide by acting cheery. I'm really enjoying this character and Park Sung-woong's portrayal. Also, his clothes are so weird, I love them. It adds to his quirkiness, and I seriously think he makes the colorful suits work in a weird way. Hahahaha, but I'm also blinded by love. Note: This is a recap of Park Sung-woong's scenes. This is NOT a formal recap.

Remember: Episode 1 [Park Sung-woong]

I wrote a first impression here . I don't know if someone is recapping this, but Park Sung-woong is so awesome that I just had to recap it. His character is both witty and competent which is one of my favorite character combos. The drama itself isn't anything special so far (partly because legal dramas frustrate me), but I still have hope. At least I know Park Sung-woong will be great. Note: This is a character recap that only includes scenes with Park Sung-woong. This is not a formal recap.

Particular Year of Dramas 2015 (Updated 12/10/2015 ~ Updated Again 1/1/2016)

Two years ago (2013), three out of my four favorite actors had a drama air in 2013. I was blown away by the coincidence since most of my top four act in movies more than dramas. Unfortunately, I never wrote a post about it and thought I missed an opportunity that would never occur again. Amazingly, this year, three out of my four favorite actors were in dramas! Even more surprisingly, one of those three was Jung Jae-young. Of course, I watched all three dramas (caveat, Park Sung-woong is acting in another drama airing in early December, so I'll update the post later with a first impression). SECOND UPDATE: I cannot believe I forgot about one drama! 2015 was an even more special year because it was not three but all four of my favorites that had dramas air this year. I completely forgot about Park Yong-woo's two episode drama which was suppose to air in November of 2014 but was pushed back until February of 2015. This actually makes it even more disappointing because I

Happy Birthday Jung Jae-young

Another birthday post has past. I don't have a lot of pictures this time (despite him doing a drama, and two movies), but since Jung Jae-young's new movie You Call It Passion (with Park Bo-young, Bae Sung-woo, Oh Dal-soo) is about to hit theaters, I'll devote a lot of this post to promoting his new movie!

Sohn Hyun-joo Free Hug Event

I was in Korea visiting for the first time and during my last week there, Sohn Hyun-joo was holding a free hug event because of his movie The Phone . In most circumstances, I probably wouldn't have went, but I absolutely adore Sohn Hyun-joo (I consider him the best television actor in Korea) and such a chance will probably never occur in my lifetime. I was originally going to do a review for The Phone and add this bit in, but I don't know if a review will ever come into existence. Anyways, here are some (awful) shots of Sohn Hyun-joo from the event! And if you were wondering... yes, I did get a hug, and it was amazing.

Bye bye, Midnight Diner

Midnight Diner starring Kim Seung-woo has ended. It was a quaint show with its ups and downs, and so far it's been my favorite kdrama of 2015 (sorry Jung Jae-young). Though I usually don't like episodic dramas, the short run-time of each episode probably helped. Also, Kim Seung-woo and his narrations were spot-on. I never noticed how nice his voice sounds. Bye-bye Midnight Diner !

Assembly: Episode 1 Screencaps

I've taken a bunch of screencaps (of mostly Jung Jae-young) and posted them below the jump. This is not a formal recap.

Jung Jae-young's First Drama

Jung Jae-young has agreed to be in the upcoming drama, Assembly , written by Jung Hyun-min. His co-star is Song Yoon-ah, and while I don't particularly like the thought of Jung Jae-young in a drama, the concept of the show and the writer make me hopeful. Jung Jae-young is one of my favorite actors, so it may seem strange that I'm not too excited. Let me explain: Jung's recent movies haven't done well financially, and unfortunately, a lot of top actors who do film, generally cross over into dramas because their movies failed. Second, most film actors who turn to dramas don't always do well (example, Hwang Jung-min- he's always awesome but his dramas flopped). Lastly, dramas in general lately have been bad... I just hope that Jung is doing the drama because the script, etc. were so enticing. I'll try to stay optimistic. This point probably just pertains to me, but Park Hee-soon's recent foray into dramas have been bland and unsuccessful (I have revi

Happy Birthday Park Yong-woo

I really hope Park Yong-woo has a new project on the way. His most recent movie Late Spring was awesome, and his two-episode drama was good (could have been better but satisfying). Anyways, pictures after the jump, and this time, there actually are some! Warning, Park Yong-woo is ADORABLE (as always).

The Deal

It's been almost a year since I  first posted  about this movie and its casting which premiered in Korea March 12. The official English title was released, and the movie is called The Deal . I prefer "Murder Request" which I saw floating around for a while, but they chose what they chose. Though it looks like the reviews are on the negative side, I'll just readjust my expectations accordingly because how could I not watch this movie when it has such a line-up. Quick rehash of the plot: Tae-soo (Kim Sang-kyung) is a veteran police officer who catches a hit-and-run suspect who turns out to be a serial killer, Kang-chun (Park Sung-woong). Unfortunately, the last victim was Tae-soo's younger sister Soo-kyung (Yoon Seung-ah) who is married to Seung-hyun (Kim Sung-kyun) and was pregnant with their first child. Wrought with grief, Seung-hyun disappears. Three years later, Tae-soo figures out that someone is after Kang-chun who is in prison, and being unable to kill

Upcoming Drama: Missing Noir M

Missing Noir M had their script reading where Park Hee-soon was sporting long hair, and he's keeping it. I actually like it, but really, there's very little I wouldn't like. Missing Noir M premieres March 28, Saturday and is slated for ten episodes. The production crew stated that they plan on finishing half of the drama by the premiere date. Park Hee-soon plays officer Oh Dae-young who acts on instinct and will be the opposite of Kim Kang-woo's Kil Soo-hyun who's all about facts. Trailers:

Happy Birthday Park Hee-soon

There wasn't a lot of news about projects concerning Park Hee-soon last year because he went back to his old theater troupe during the summer (pictures below). However, he signed up for an upcoming drama on OCN which starts in March. I also read a recent article saying he did sign up for the movie co-starring with Shin Ha-kyun and Ryu Seung-soo which goes into production in March. I don't know if the movie filming is accurate (though I wish it were true), but after a bit of a break, it seems like Park Hee-soon will be quite busy for a while. As a fan, I'm always excited to see him in a new role. Hopefully he at least enjoys/enjoyed his birthday. That's enough from me. Pic spam following jump!

Script Reading for M

I was planning to wait and post after official descriptions, posters, trailers, and such were released, but Park Hee-soon's hair was too much for me not to share. He's sporting the shag look again after opting for short haircuts in his most recent projects. Of course, this is just the script reading, so the characters will probably all look different, but the more I think about it, the more I actually want to see a veteran police officer sporting a fifty-fifty part. It defies norms and would be a visually distinct choice. Granted, if Kim Kang-woo is also going for the fifty-fifty, then it wouldn't be as distinct. I'm really happy Park Hee-soon is in a new project even if I did wish his next project was a movie rather than a drama. But beggars can't be choosers.

Happy Birthday Park Sung-woong

Finally, I've posted a birthday post for Park Sung-woong on time! Park Sung-woong was very busy last year, and continues to be busy this year, too, with a movie planning to premiere in March starring alongside Kim Sang-kyung and Kim Sung-kyun (so excited!). Anyways, what that means is that there are a lot of pictures following the jump. You've been warned!
